Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 July 2026

This policy explains what personal information Trading As collects when you use this website or become a client, why we collect it, and what your rights are. We keep it in plain English on purpose.

Before publishing, replace the highlighted contact email with your real address.

1. Who we are

Trading As is a business operated by Stephen Lowe as a sole trader, based in the UK. We are the “data controller” for the information described here.

If you have any questions about this policy or your information, contact us at [email placeholder].

2. What we collect

When you send an enquiry

Through the enquiry form on this site we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, phone number (if you choose to add it), your trade, and where you are up to in setting up.

If you become a client

To build your pack we’ll collect the information needed to do the work — for example your business details, the services and prices you want to show, images or text you send us, and the details required to register a domain and set up email in your name. We also keep basic records of payments for accounting and tax.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

4. Where your information is held

This website and its enquiry form are hosted by Netlify, and enquiry submissions are stored securely in our Netlify account. Email is handled through our email provider. Some of these providers are based outside the UK (for example in the United States); where that’s the case, they operate under safeguards designed to protect your information to UK standards.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your information or share it for marketing. We only share it with the service providers who help us run the business (such as our website host, email provider, domain registrar and payment/accounting tools), and where we’re required to by law.

6. How long we keep it

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to us using it, and in some cases to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email us at [email placeholder].

If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

8. Cookies

This is a simple site and we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Our host, Netlify, may set essential cookies needed to serve the site securely. If we add analytics in future, we’ll update this policy first.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top. Please check back from time to time.
